Why do we need a wedding planner?

You are smart and savvy and probably totally capable of planning your own wedding. But you also have a full time job, your family, your friends and your life. Planning a wedding on top of all that means some big sacrifices. You’ll sleep less, socialize less, stress more and any free time you had before is out the window. Planning weddings is my job; I have time to do all the things you don’t have time for! Let me help you keep your life by taking some or all of that load off your shoulders.

Times are tight and we are on a budget. Wouldn’t hiring you cost more?

That’s easy: No. Not only can I get you discounts from many of my preferred vendors, but my experience will help me figure out how I can save you money before you spend it. Weddings go over budget when couples get stressed, overwhelmed and distracted by all the details. Just like you could also fairly easily change the oil in your own car, it’s just a better use of your time and money to take it to a professional who knows exactly what they’re doing and will do it right the first time. I will save you both time and money by custom tailoring my services to best match your budget. In fact, most of my couples’ weddings end up under budget. Think of what you could do with little left over money!

What are your rates?

My rates are very competitive and customizable, but only available by request. Don’t worry – I won’t charge you an arm and a leg! Simply contact me and I will send you a price sheet and/or a customized estimate for your needs.

What if we choose a location that provides their own planner?

If you choose a location that has a planner, they will manage the location first and then help you. I work for you. Working with a location planner just makes everyone’s job easier. They will typically specialize in helping you on your wedding day with location related logistics.  I, again, work for you. Whatever the location planner can’t do, I can. I can still be your point person. I can still review contracts and coordinate with vendors. I can still manage your wedding day and help wherever I’m needed. And I will do so with the help of the location planner. We won’t butt heads, we will make your wedding day as amazing as it gets!

How did you get into Wedding Planning?

I’m a social butterfly! I love parties and have thrown several annual parties of my own for years. I also grew up in a Bed and Breakfast which taught me from an early age how to be a hostess. One day, as I sat at my “real job” as a manager, I realized that I really didn’t love what I was doing, even though I was very good at it. This bugged me; I wanted to love my job! Pretty soon, I figured out that I was not only very good a planning parties, but that I loved it. So here I am, applying years and years of management experience, strong creative muscles and a desire to throw a killer party to a job that I actually love!

Do you do weddings outside of Vermont?

Absolutely! I love my job, and I really love to travel! Get in touch with me for details.

Do you offer planning services for events other than weddings?

Absolutely! I can help you with your birthday party, anniversary celebration, fundraiser, holiday party – you name it. Contact me and I’ll let you know how I can help!
